The ReCycle bicycle flea market organised by the City of Nuremberg’s environmental department is coming to FAU. The event will be held on 8 May in cooperation with FAU WiSo, the Green Office and sneep e. V.

From 11:00 to 15:00, there will be an opportunity to sell used bikes, bike parts and accessories or buy a new bike at the Insel Schütt cafeteria in Nuremberg. No registration or stand fee is required. Admission is free.

Please note: A maximum of 3 bicycles per person may be offered for sale. The available spaces are freely selectable and will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.

There will be the opportunity to adjust newly purchased or existing bicycles, tighten brakes or oil chains on site as part of a repair workshop organised by NOA (help for self-help).

In calendar week 19, students will also receive a 10% discount on non-discounted bike items at Travel & Trek (Josephsplatz 18, 90403 Nuremberg) and the Vaude store (Kornmarkt 6, 90402 Nuremberg).

The FAU is organising Sustainability Month in May. The aim is to sensitise FAU members to the issues surrounding sustainability and climate protection. The aim is not only to provide information, but also to encourage active behaviour. A varied programme has been put together for this purpose: a wide variety of events will take place throughout May in Erlangen and Nuremberg, where you can get actively involved and learn new things.

Further events during the FAU’s Sustainability Month can be found on the GreenOffice website.
